Hello All,
Iam trying to find marriages if at all possible for
Jane Anderson b 1834 Linlithgow
Mary Anderson b 1840 Linlithgow
Helen Anderson b 1846 Linlithgow
I have searched on Scotlands people to no avail so any help would be much appreciated.
i have the family in the 1851 census living at Kame head
Father Alexander mother Helen.

Helens Maiden name was Ramsay b 1807
daughter of Thomas Ramsay and Margaret Masterton.

Hi Billy,
That is my Family I got the birth dates from the 1851
Census I realise they are only aprox but all i had to go on.
Andrew i have traced down the line he is my Great Grand father. I would dearly like to find info on the rest of Family.
I have searches Scotlands people for marriages and Deaths but to no avail.

Hi Margaret,
I seems strange that all the info is of one birth.
Normally when you type in the parents name up comes all the children on the IGI.
At least we have the right family.
As you probably know prior 1855 the b,m,and death records were recorded by the church,the OPR,S.
The mormon church hold the OPR,S and other places like Family history soc.
I recon you have to get a hold of the OPR film for Stirling and check it out for your Anderson,s.
I will keep searching.

Hi Billie,
I have checked the Parish register for Bathgate but no luck
they would only be registered if Baptised wouldnt they and it appears the rest of the children were not baptised?
Helen Ramsay died in Bathgate 18th March 1868 son John was a witness Alexander Husband was deceased but have not found his death either.

Hi Margaret,
the OPR,s should have births, deaths marriages and baptisms.
I have also checked out the Bathgate OPR,S and found births and deaths for my Anderson,s

Hi Billie,
Iam sure that I have already checked the oprs and not found them.
They were listed as born in linlithgow on the census.
The only one found was the baptism of Margaret Anderson in Stirling.

Hi Margaret,
How frustrating! It would make things easier if our ancestors stayed in the one spot.
My ancestors move,Bathgate,Denny,Kilsyth,Glasgow.
They have to be somewhere probably the next countie,
Though if they are not showing up on the IGI or Scotlandspeople they could be abroad.
They are out there but where!
I will get my thinking cap on and get back to you.

Thank You Billie for all the trouble you are going to for me.
It sure is frustrating not being able to find them.
Is there some index for migration from Scotland at all?
i know we have shipping list for people coming into NZ but havnt found them there.
