George TRENEMAN
« on: Sunday 26 July 09 11:11 UTC (UK) »

I am looking for links and information about my great great grandfather George Treneman,  from Cornwall. He was born in 1833, married Elizabeth [Parker?] and lived in London thereafter, as a master tailor. He appears on 1861 census as George Freneman, and 1971 census as George Trentham and died soon after. I am interested in where he was before he married -and who his parents were. Many thanks, Lisa.

I see that both the 1861/71 census states his PoB as St Germans - hopefully that will help find him in earlier years ....

hmmmm  Roll Eyes

do you have his marriage Cert - naming his Father ?

It would be an idea to get the marriage Cert anyway - might reveal a StepFather ...

Thank you both for your help. As yet I dont have birth or marriage certificates for George- didn't even know of his existance until this morning - and that was thanks to Tati. But it has given me lots of clues and more stepping stones to continue my research. Many thanks
