I have a few bits of information about the Vicar of All Saints', Halifax, that is, Rev J. H. Warneford [1818-1899], and his daughter Henrietta who seems to have been Henrietta Warneford Warneford [FreeBMD has her as Warnsford Warneford] who married William Henry Foster in 1879.  I wonder if someone could tell me

1)  Henrietta's full name ... were there really 2 Warnefords in her name

2)  Henrietta's mother's name

3)  Henrietta's dates

4)  William Henry Foster's dates

This is to fill in a few of the many gaps on my Calderdale Companion website.

according to the full indexes her name was there in full as

Henrietta  Warneford Warneford bn Halifax in the Oct - Dec of 1854


Her mothers names was Mary Ann Susan Wavon bn circa 1828 Yorkshire she married JH in Sculcoates Reg in the April - June of 1851

there is a death entry for Jan - Mar of 1912 Lunesdale lancashire for a Henrietta W Foster bn 1854.  And in the census after the 1901 there is a lady of that name in Lunesedale Lancs.  Just checked the 1891 and she is in Lunesdale too.  1901 she is in Marylebone.


William Fenry Foster according to the 1891 census was born circa 1849 in Bradford

Jumping back to Mary Ann Susan bn circa 1828  being the mother of Henrietta in the 1851 census the surname is very difficult to make out the transcriber has offered an alternative and put WARN.

I do wonder why Warneford was so good they named her twice.  Perhaps daddy wanted to be sure that the name continued.

A further request relating to Rev Warneford:  Can anyone give me the names etc of the other children who are listed with him on the various censuses up to his death in 1899?  Or perhaps I should have this moved to the LOOKUP REQUESTS board!
