Hi can any one tell me how to trace my husband Father we don't know if he is still alive or not. He comes from loch lowmond area surname name of Lindsay

You might try some letters to the Editor of local Dunbartonshire newspapers.  Lots of links here - http://scottishnewspapers.com/

The Clydebank Post might be a good one to try, here is an email address - editorial.cb@cfpress.co.uk

And you could try a plea on the Lindsay message board at Rootsweb - http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=surnames.lindsay
