Distington Cumberland late 1800s

Can anyone help me?  If a person died in the late 1800s in Distington, Cumberland where are they most likely to be buried apart from Distington Churchyard Whitehaven or Workington?

Hi
You could try looking at www.genuki.org.uk as that will list all the churches in the area and may have links to an index of local burials.

Hi

You cauld also try Moresby (Which isn't in Moresby Parks or even Low Moresby, it's down a road off the Whitehaven/ Distington Road), and Harrington which both have burial registers until well into the 20th century.

Best wishes

Thank you Andrea and Emms.  We're popping up to the Lakes this weekend so we'll do a bit of researching.
