A long shot I know!

Anyway, here goes! - Just wondering if anyone would know where I might find any information concerning a James (Jim) Carter, who was possibly a US citizen - (Philadelphia).  He was in Famagusta in 1949 and possibly connected to a Hotel there.  Wish I had more to go on!

Any help/advice/info would be very welcome!
