Hett, oliver family

I am looking for what parish does the village of Hett belong to and any information on the Oliver family that used to live there.
I am doing this on behalf of a friend so I don't have much information at present.

There are two Hetts in co. Durham

One near Hartlepool, the other near Ferryhill

Borri, do you have the family in any or all censuses? I'm just wondering if there might be any clues on the census as to which Hett they are from.

If you need census lookups can you give more info about the Olivers and someone will try to find them for you?

Google maps only shows one Hett in Durham - about 1 1/2 miles SE of Croxdale.  Undecided

I can't see Hett mentioned in Genuki, but I willl have another look.

Thanks Ruskie, I have emailed my friend but don't expect to hear anything tonight.
I know he has gone back as far as the 1841 census but living in Bucks makes it hard to get parish records.
I went to the Bucks fhs open day last weekend, it was a good day but the East London fhs was about the furthest away from us.
There are so many here fro the north east and Scotland you would think it worthwhile for them to attend.
I'm off to bed, thanks again.
