Eliza and Ernest Cross 1913

 Smiley hi was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a Ernest Cross. i have just found out that my great aunt had married in 1913 in Kings norton and would love to know anything about him. Unfortunaltly i'm still to order marrage certificate so i don't know when he was born. in 1939 Eliza was living at 20 st mary's rd Harborne Birmingham, but Ernest may have died before this time. Cheesy Eliza was born in 1872 warwickshire.

Hi

It's a bit premature to post before you get the marriage cert.  We would need to know his age when he married and his fathers name and occupation to be able to find him on the 1901 census

Freebmd has 4 birth entries for Ernest Cross between 1870-1872 and a further 13 with a middle name

Only one was b Staffs and he had a middle name

I can tell you Ernest was alive in 1930 but had died by 1935,Eliza was still at that address in 1939 but had gone by 1945.This is from the Electoral Rolls.

Searching the full GRO index between 1930-1935 shows only one death in Birmingham for an Ernest Cross but he seems rather young if Eliza was b 1872
