I have been told there is no record of a birth for our Nelly in Aberfeldy, Perthshire.

She gave her maiden name as Helen when she registered her son's birth in 1927.
She said she was born in Aberfeldy, Perthshire, Scotland.

She gave her forename as Nelly when she married Alexander Moffatt in 1912.

Her death in 1928 in QLD Australia is registered as Helen Beattie Moffat.
Father Donald Stewart, mother Helen Beattie

I would greatly appreciate any help in confirming our Nelly's place of birth.

I believe the names of places and boundaries have changed over the years.

Any suggestions.  Helen died when my father was 7 months old.
My father died in 1995.  He was the youngest of his siblings. Kiss

I think this might be your Stewart family in 1891 census

Balnacraig, Logierait, Perthshire

Donald 40 b Fortingall. Perthshire
Ellen 34 b Inveraven, Morayshire
Annie 10 b Logierait
Nelly 6 b Logierait
Margret 3 b Logerait
Jane 11mths b Logierait

Donald Stewart & Helen Beattie married in Knockando, Morayshire in 1880

There is a birth for a Nelly Stewart in Logierait, Perthshire in 1885

Donald, Ellen (as Hellen) and annie (as Ann) are visitors in the Beattie household at Woodside, Knockando, Morayshire in the 1881 census, possibly Helen's parents, birthplaces from 1881 & 1891 match

Certificates from Scotlandspeople would confirm this
