Info on Taylor family from Wem/Market Drayton area
« on: Wednesday 29 July 09 23:22 UTC (UK) »

Hi

I wondered if anyone had any info on the Taylor family which I'm researching in the Wem/Market Drayton area, which is as follows:

Thomas Taylor,  born abt 1848 married Emma Stockton born abt 1855

Their children's names appear to be:

Thomas, Elizabeth, Rosetta Emma, Sarah Ann, Martha Jane, Edith, John William, Clement, Harriet Ellen, Ellen, Agnes, Algernon, Gladys Augusta and Wilfred.

Gladys Augusta is my grandmother who married Joseph Thomas in Warrington, Lancashire.  Their son's names are Trevor Joseph and Gerard Llewellyn (my father).

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I think harriet Ellen and ellen are the same person - seems she is using her middle name in 1901

Their first son Thomas was born sept 1873, Market Drayton.

Rosetta (Emma - not sure on middle name) born 22 Dec 1878 in Market Drayton.  Married 31 Aug 1903 to John Coombes.

Sarah Ann born 9 June 1880 in Market Drayton.  Married 14 April 1903 to John Edward Crumpton.  Died 24 Dec 1946 in Shrewsbury.

Martha Jane, born 22 Dec 1881 in Market Drayton.  Married Joseph Porter on 14 Aug 1911 in Market Drayton.

John William born 15 Dec 1886 in Market Drayton.  We think that he emigrated to Austrailia.

Clement born 1888 in Longford.

Harriet Ellen born 7 feb 1889 in Market Drayton.  Married Henry Craven Ellwood on 8 Feb 1919 at Saint Thomas.

Agnes Taylor born 1891.

Algernon born 1892.
