Does  anyone have any information on Noah Daniel Alport who married Mary Ann Mills about 1838. in Dudley or maybe Bromsgrove !!!.  These early Allports are proving very elusive.
Thanks Nessa

Hi Nessa,

FreeBMD shows the marriage in Woverhampton district (=probably not Dudley):

Dec 1839 17 399
Noah Allport to possibly Mary Ann Mills

Smiley

Shout if you need the 1841 census details:
HO107/1196/12 48 39
The 1851 census shows Noah born ca. 1818 Delph, the 1861 census gives ca. 1818 Brierley Hill

There was an Allports Dingle in the Brierley Hill Kingswinford area.  I have come across this family on a few occasions, they were Boat people originally.  If you google Allports Dingle there must be a lot of old threads on the family.  HTH from Linell.

Thank you for your reply, can I ask where your information came from  that they were boat people?  I am very new to the family history hobbie and to using this website.
