Cain family Newcastle Upon Tyne (Fruiterer?)

Hi, I'm searching for information about Daniel Cain, his wife Elizabeth Jane Charge and their children. Daniel was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne c1880, he and Elizabeth married in 1907 in Newcastle district.The children were John William 1910, Lillian 1911, Olive 1912, Elizabeth Jane 1913, Daniel 1917 and John 1925.

Family members have told me that they had one or two shops in the City, which did very well, until the depression of the 1920s, when they lost everything.
I've found a reference to a Daniel Cain, Fruiterer, 56 Westmorland Street, in a City directory for 1921, but I haven't been able to  find out any more about them. I'm also having problems finding Daniel before his marriage.
Any advise or help would be great, many thanks.

Do you have the marriage certificate for Daniel & Elizabeth giving his father's name and occupation?  Have you found the family in 1911 which should confirm Daniel's age, birthplace and occupation, to help find him earlier?

I can see a Daniel b. abt 1875 Newcastle, a boarder in Newcastle, but he is a rope maker

Hi Barbara,
no I haven't got their marriage certificate yet, but I have sent for it. I also found the same Daniel who was a rope maker,  it could be him, but I do know that by 1911 he was a gereral trader. They were living in Blandford Street  Newcastle.

Hi, I've just got the marriage certificate for Daniel  Cain and and Jane Charge. It gives Daniel's age as 28years, and Jane as 26. Daniel's occupation at the time was general hawker, as was his Father John Cain. Their address was 75 Blandford Street Newcastle Upon Tyne. Jane's Father was John Charge, a labourer in a glass works, they lived on the same street as the Cains, number 94.
I have had no problems with the Charge family,easily finding them in the census returns etc. It's the Cains that are causing me problems!
On the 1911 census, Daniel's birth year is the same as the marriage certificate, he's a general dealer, the family are living at  92 Blandford Street, close to their parents. I can't find a birth for Daniel in Newcastle district, which is his birth place on the 1911 census.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated, many thanks.

There is an entry on Free BMD for a Daniel KANE b sep 1877 in Newcastle T.
