I am trying to trace the parents of

ELIZA HANSARD who was born in Boston c1834
I have a copy of her marriage certificate to George Bower on 6th August 1854 at Boston Parish Church -Eliza's age is given as 20 and her fathers name is John Hansard occupation either Tailor or Sailor.Both  bride and groom give their address as Blue Street.
I can find Eliza on the 1851 census as a 17 year old servant at Spalding but cannot find her in 1841, nor can I find John Hansard of correct age on any census.

Any suggestions would be most welcome

how about this lass - the transcription has isolated her for some reason, but the family she's with is clear on the image.

Don't you think the "parents" are a bit old?  More likely a grandchild in my opinion.

For the record, William HANSWORD married Phoebe EDWARDS at Wrangle in 1809.

However, there's no evidence that this family ever left Leake at all.

In Boston is Eliza HANSORD 5 HO107/613-7/8/8 (father? Richard)

Thanks Geoff, to be honest I hadnt looked at the ages when I saw there was no Father John  ...

so who knows, maybe the absent father was a son of the old couple - or there again the mother may be one of the dau's shown.
