Remembering those care free days of childhood

Marriage Notice in 1843 Scarborough-Smith
« on: Friday 31 July 09 23:54 UTC (UK) »

From the Northampton Herald 1843.

(Feb 22 )
Same day at Irthlingborough, Mr Smith. whitesmith
and bell-hanger, to Miss Scarborough, eldest daughter of
Mr Scarborough, farmer and grazier, all of the above place.

The entries are noted in freebmd as Smith Thomas to Scarborow Ann.

The only entry in the 1841 Census is for a Robert Scarborough
(Farmer) with family including Ann who were a non-conformist
family.

As the marriage does not appear in the C of E Parish Records,
then it may have taken place in a non-conformists chapel of
which there were 2 in the village.
