dean family in dorset

I am researching the Dean family in Marnhull/Gillingham Dorset. All I have so far is Samuel Dean married to a Martha Huh. Dates and places of birth and marriage so far unknown. Children: Martha Dean 27/12/1803 and twin brother Edward both born in Marnhull, Dorset. Anyone out there researching this family also?

Have you searched for the Dean family on the Dorset OPC site? A great variety of information available and both Marnhull and Gillingham have opcs, who might know of others researching the Dean line.

Samuel Dean is listed on the Marnhull 1821 census.   If you can find him on 1851 census his birthplace (or where he thought he was born) should be listed.

Thank you ever so much for directing me to the Dorset site! I'm new to this and never knew that it exisited. I wasn't able to find Samuel in the 1851 census. I estimate him to have been born between 1765-1770 and he had probably passed away before that census was taken. But I'm sure that I will be able to find other ancestors on that site.
