Can any help me discover any information regarding William Jacobs born between 1823- 1832 Gravesend, Kent.  He migrated to Australia and married in 1851. 

Several descendants have mentioned a  possible Jewish connection.   Was there a jewish community living in Kent?

But they will not help if he was Jewish.  There was certainly a thriving Jewish community in Kent, see:

  Thank you for the websites.  I have looked at the 1841 English Census but haven't been able to definitely locate him.  William had migrated to Australia and was married by 1851.
