Hi Pete

Is this him in 1841?

David Packer 25 Weaver
Jane Packer 30
Jane Packer 1

At Runswick Place, Bath Road, St Mary, Reading. All born in county. There are lots of other Packers, all weavers, nearby.

HO107/36/7/14/22

From The Genealogist. Can't find them on Ancestry - probably seriously mistranscribed. I know his age is wrong, he should be 20 with rounding down, but Jane is a bit older than him so maybe he added a few years.

I haven't found him after 1851, or the two Janes, or them in 1851.

Don't think that is him, He was Reading born as were all of my Packers from about 1740 and wantage before that. In 1851 he was visiting Joseph Packer b Reading 1794 and then living in Boston Place St Marylebone. Pete

Hi Anne, that looks about right. Reading St Lawrence is most of them but St Mary does crop up. Was it silk weaving in Reading?

Just  had a PM , he was dead by 1852, married Jane allum Reading St Giles 11/11/1839, son David John b 1843

Thanks all for your help. P

I think that is him in 1841.  It fits with the information from FreeBMD and FamilySearch as follows:

11 Nov 1839  David PACKER married Jane ALLUM at St Giles, Reading
8 Nov 1840  Jane dau of David and Jane PACKER baptised at St Mary, Reading
5 Mar 1843  David John son of David and Jane PACKER baptised at St Mary, Reading
Dec Qtr 1851 Reading Reg. Dist. Death - David PACKER
Sep Qtr 1852 Windsor Reg. Dist. Marriage - Jane PACKER and William LITTLEWOOD

1861 Census - RG9/761 Spital Road, Clewer, Berkshire
William LITTLEWOOD Head Mar 36 Labourer born Berks, Clewer
Jane LITTLEWOOD Wife Mar 46 Laundress born Berks, Sulham
David Jno PACKER Son in Law 18 Baker born Berks, Reading
Hannah Maria MOFFREY? Visitor 45 Dressmaker born Berks, Sulham

Dec Qtr 1861 Windsor Reg. Dist. Death - David John PACKER

I couldn't find the family in 1841 using Ancestry, nor was I able to find Jane and the two children in 1851 using the same source.
