Hi there

I wonder if anyone can help me.

I have a relation who died in 1888 in Templehill Troon.  There is no street number or house name given.

Can anyone tell me if there was a hospital or sanitorium there at that time?

Hi Janice

Templehill was/is a street in Troon. Pity no number given on the death entry. Around 800 people showing with that address in 1891 (either a Templehill or Temple Hill).

There was a convalescent home there until recently called the Miners Welfare. I believe it was run by the Coal Board.
   Hope this helps. Contact me if you need any more info from the area.
