Hi Phil and welcome to RootsChat
The marriage registration is
Anna Maria Grace Paul & Henry Parker 1891 Jul-Aug-Sep Poole Volume 5a Page 508
In the 1891 census taken on 5 April (reference RG12; Piece: 1639; Folio 42; Page 23) she is shown as
Anna Maria Grace Paul age 19 Single Occupation Book Binder born Poole
living at 3 Belmont Terrace, Sandy Lane, Poole
Others in the house are
Frederick Walter Diffey Head Married 24 Sailor (Navy) b Poole Emma Diffey Wife Married 28 b Newfoundland Diffey Daughter 2 months b Poole the daughter's name has been transcribed as Emma, but I'm not sure if this correct
Anna Paul is shown as Sister to the Head (ie Frederick Diffey) but I think Sister could also mean Sister-in-law
I know this is going backwards rather than forwards but it might give you something to work with

Just found a marriage for
Frederick Walter Diffey & Emma Paul
1890 Oct-Nov-Dec Poole Volume 5a page 619
so it looks as though Anna Maria Grace & Emma might be sisters.
The only birth I can find is for
Hannah Maria G Paul 1871 Oct-Nov-Dec Poole Volume 5a page 273
If Anna Maria Grace was born in Poole and Emma in Newfoundland I wonder if their father was a sailor as well?

Hi Phil - still digging!
1901 census 31 March (Class: RG13; Piece: 1979; Folio: 85; Page: 27)
The only Henry Parker I can find in Poole is living at 14 Strand Street
Henry Parker Head M 35 Fish Salesman b Dorset, Swanage
Annie Parker Wife M 29 b Poole (which would fit Anna Maria)
no children listed

In 1891 an unmarried Henry Parker, 34, hawker, b Swanage, is living in Poole, so it appears to be the right Henry Parker.
Emma and Anna are sisters. In 1881 Anna, 9, is living with her parents George and Mary Ann Paull; George is a general dealer and Mary Ann was born in newfoundland. In 1871 Emma, 8, b Newfoundland, was with the family.
Henry Parker died in Dec 1906 aged 40 and Anna Maria Parker remarried in 1909 (to either Edward John Bartlett or Chales taylor).
I can provide further details of any of the censuses if you want; I'm not sure whether you want to go back or not.

The 1911 census has a Harry Edward Taylor, 9, living in Wareham with an Annie Taylor, 45. Both are born in Dorset, but neither in Poole. To make matters worse, Annie's husband is Frederick Tayloy, not Charles, and the spread of the other children suggests it is the wrong family.
I'll keep looking...

I have now found a Harry Taylor, 9, b Poole, and there is a Charles Taylor there as well. It's looking more hopeful...
Richard
Added: unfortunately, no sign of his mother. Back to the drawing board.

Henry the fish hawker has been found in 1891 and 1901 and died in 1906; what would you like to know?

Maria didn't have much luck with her husbands; I have now found this: http://www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_details.aspx?casualty=2968992
It confirms that Maria married Charles Taylor in 1909, but that he was killed in the war in 1914, by which time they were living in Sunderland. Presumably she carried on in Sunderland after his death.
As a result of this find I have now found the 1911 reference (although I haven't seen the actual entry). It made things harder that her son was called Edward rather than Harry/Henry!
Sunderland Charles Taylor, 48 Anna Taylor, 41, b Poole, Dorset Edward Taylor, 9, b Poole, Dorset
I am still not sure whether you just wanted to find out how your family moved from Dorset to Sunderland, or whether you want to trace back from Henry Parker and Anna Paul. there are plenty of census entries we can give you back to 1841 which will do that if you want.

1881 RG11/2095 Poole George Paull, 49, general dealer, b Blandfrod Mary Ann P, 39, wife, b newfoundland William P, 15, son, fish hawker Anna P, 9, dau, b Poole Sydney P, 1, son, b Poole
1871 RG10/1976 Blandford George Paull, 36, gen dealer, b Blandford Mary Ann P, 28, wife, b Newfoundland Emma P, 8, dau, b newfoundland William P, 6, son, b Blandford Jane P, 4, dau, b Blandford Charles P, 1, son, b Blandford
1861 I assume they were in Newfoundland
1851 HO107/1853 Blandford George Paul, 14, errand boy, b Blandfrod boarding with a family
1841 (possible) HO107/294 Blandford Sarah POOR, 25+, Yes Elizabeth Poor, 6, Yes George Poor, 4, Yes
The 1841 entry is strengthened by this entry:
1851 HO107/1853 Blandford Eliza Paul, 15, b Blandford was in the Union House
...and a few pages later, in the same place: Sarah Poor, 35, unm, charwoman, b Monkton George Poor, 14 Henry Poor, 9 Ellen Poor, 1 all children b Blandford
Two entries for George is slightly worrying but not that unusual.
