I think you need to give a bit more information.

Was your grandmother Minnie Rebecca Shorthouse then b. 11/10/1890

Who did she marry and when. Huh

Have you found her  on the 1901 or 1911 census  Huh

Do you have her marriage and  birth certificate  Huh

Hi Patrish Thank you for your reply.
I made a mistake on the birth date, the date 11/10/1890 was her marriage date. She was born 1872 and she married a Robert Shorthouse. I've found her on the 1901 census and she was residing at Powel Street Heath Town and born in America. Have not checked the 1911 as yet.

Her marriage cert. gives her former name as "Parker" hope this helps. reg

I have found Minni on the 1911 Census, I am not finding her husband Robert or the 2 children Horace and Sidney.   The best bet would be to buy a few credits and look at her entry to see what her status is and who she is living with.

Minnie Shorthouse b 1870 aged 41 Wolverhampton, Staffs---------1911 census.

Unfortunately the deaths are only indexed up to 1915, so that means trawling through each year systematically to locate her .

If you would like me to try and find her before her marriage to Robert can you please tell me her fathers name on the marriage cert .

thanks Patrish

The family seem to be in RD369 SD5 (Wolverhampton Eastern)

Minnie (born 1870?) is with Robert and children Horace, Leslie and Connie.  I think that in 1901 Horace is actually Horace Sidney and the enumerator has got a little confused as to how to enter an as yet unnamed 4 day-old baby, who later becomes Leslie.

[added: from FREEBMD: Leslie Leo (1901q2) and Mary Constance (1906q4)]

Her maiden name was Parker.
Thats an interesting point re 1901 enumerator, the death data shows no death for Horace around 1901/5.
For Minnie one or two references, point to her having been born in America but no mention of which state. I just cannot find any reference to her death date at all.
Many thanks
