Hi,
Can anyone help with a look up on 1841 & 1851 census please for
Thomas JONES b1829 Newton, Montgomery collier the only other info. I have for Thomas
married sometime 1858-60 Elizabeth b1836 Neath Abbey
they had 4 children Mary Jane, John, Samuel & William all born in Aberdare between 1859 - 1870 living at 55 Gadlys Street, Aberdare in 1881 and also same address in 1871.
Any help gratefully appreciated - thank you

c 25/07/1824 parents Thomas Jones & Frances c 9/01/1825 " John Jones & Caturn Prudence c 24/08/1828 d23/2/1839 " John Jones & Dorothy
Also received help for Thomas & family on Glamorgan board see below. Thomas was probably married before as he has a daughter Margaret aged 13 living with wife Elizabeth & his other children in 1861.

Sorry Ladyhawk, there are so many Thomas Jones born in 1828 and 1829 era but not listing Newtown as place of birth. The 1841 does not list place of birth anyway, so very hard to work out as lots of them live in villages surrounding Newtown.
Sad to say it is similar with the marriage. over that period about 100 Thomas Jones married, and a lot were to an Elizabeth. a maiden name would be a big help.

Hi lady, it is possible (or more than likely) that Margaret was being looked after by an Aunt or other relative, and Thomas would continue to work as no welfare system back then. I can see a few possible Thomas candidates, but nothing much to suit Margaret.

As Thomas had married twice I was just curious about his first marriage and where he lived in 1841/851.
