Bridge of Weir Cemeteries
« on: Sunday 09 August 09 15:56 UTC (UK) »

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find out which cemeteries Bridge of Weir has and which one someone who died in 1952 might be buried in?  Thanks for any help.

Regards

There is a cemetery on Bridge of Weir Road, it lies between Brookfield and Bridge of Weir. If you google map it, it looks like a patch of very green field on the map. Not sure of the dates for it, but there is a contact email for Renfrewshire Council cemeteries department:-

The records for all Renfrewshire Council cemeteries are held at the cemetery office in Renfrewshire House. Depending on the accuracy of the information you provide, there may be a charge for this service. If you want to find out where someone is buried, you should use the contact details below."

Hi Murphyz,

Thank you for your reply; that's good to know.  It turned out that the man I was looking for was actually buried in Glasgow beside his parents even although he had latterly lived and died in Bridge of Weir so I've already found him.  Thanks again for the information.

Regards
