History of the Irish Air Corps - Link

The Irish Air Corps' first aircraft, a Martinsyde type A (Mark II five seater), was purchased by T.W. McSweeney and C.F. Russell, both IRA volunteers in England, and also both former RAF pilots, in November 1921.
