Jean Steel b abt 1886 married ? White and children , Margaret and twins Jean and alexander White.
Helen steel b 1889 married a Robert Stewart.
Matthew Steel b unk died in infancy.
Any help about these would be much appreciated.

I can't find John & Margaret and the children in England or Scotland in 1891 or 1901.
Looking at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
Matthew Steel died 1889 age 1 in Glasgow
3 matches for Matthew Steel born 1888 in Glasgow or Lanarkshire
No matches for Matthew Steel in Renfrewshire

I can’t find a marriage between John Steel & Margaret Fraser, but the laws in Scotland were different then. Have a look at

Hi Linda,
Thank you so much for what you have found out. I have not been able to find much about these 3 and I was given the names and who they married and nothing else. 
We were not able to find anything about Matthew so decided to try here as I have been helped so much by rootschat.
Would like to find out the births of Matthew, Jean and Helen and the deaths if at all possible.
Elaine is right with the marriage for John Steel and Margaret Fraser as they are my G g parents-in -law and I am trying to get all the family histories.

Thank you for that. I checked the Matthew that you gave me who died in 1889 and it is not him, so it could be one of the other two.
Will have to check it out.
