I have just discovered that my dads granny was margaret crosbie born in scotland but her parents were Michael & Margaret Crosbie who where both born in meath. They left Navan at some stage had margaret in scotland and came home where margaret married patrick cregan. Does anyone know how I would go about trying to find out where she was born in scotland or how I would trace immagration records.

Welcome to Rootschat. You haven't mentioned any dates in your post but if you go to Scotland's People website it will give you details of what dates are covered, how to purchase credits and then view certificates, etc.

IGI (International Genealogical Index at www.familysearch.org) has the following which might be the right family-
Michael Crosby- Margaret Coyle
1. Eugean born 2 Nov.1870 Co. Meath
2. John born 6 May 1872 Cathcart, Renfrew, Scotland
3. Mary born 2 May 1873 Cathcart
4. Margaret born Oct.1875 Cathcart (submitted records- others are extracted)

Not sure what you mean by immigration records- Ireland was part of U.K. and records weren't (and still aren't) kept of people travelling between Ireland and Scotland, England and Wales.

Thats brilliant thank you it looks like the correct family. I wasnt sure if Scotland would have a record of irish people what went to live Scotland and then left to return to ireland. Margaret and Michael were born in Ireland, they had children in scotland but return to meath at some stage because their daugher Margaret my great great grandmother married in meath in 1890 she was only 16 years old.

based on the familysearch info detailedbest  above by aghadowey, matches in the civil index for the marriage and birth of their son :

type : birth

  Name: Eugean Crosbie
  Registration district: Navan
  year: 1870
  Volume: 17 / Page: 869

type: Marriage

 Name: Michael Crosbie
 Reg. dist : Navan
 year: 1870
 Volume: 17 / Page: 837

 Name: Margaret Coyle
 district: Navan
 year: 1870
 Volume: 17 / Page: 837

(from familysearch : http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=2;t=searchable;c=1408347 )

you can order research certs by post from the GRO using the above details. www.groireland.ie The marriage cert will give you Michael & Margaret's father's names and occupations.
