Can any one put any light on Caroline Ellis born 1903 died 1976. My gran came from Sutton in Ashfield But am having problems finding any Family.

What have you got on Caroline's family do you have her birth certificate 
One Birth in 1903 December Qtr 1903 Mansfield Vol 7B Page 130.

Hi, Caroline was born in 9/10/ 1903 and died in 25/2/1976 her father was John Ellis and her mother was Ada Sills living at 10 john street Sutton in Ashfield Caroline was married twice her first married name was Townsend I think his first name was Harry. Carolines married George Edward Bean around 1944. thanks for your help and Patience

Hi,
You need to get Caroline's parents marriage certificate John Ellis married Ada Sills June Qtr 1901 Mansfield Vol 7b Page 204.That would tell you Ada's father 's name.
If you look at the 1881 census for Sutton -in-Ashfied Charles Banner he was married to Sarah A. looks like she was married before look's like Ada,s father was Charles Banner but in the 1901 census she is calling herself Sills.

On Carolines Marriage Cert does it give fathers occupation? if so could you let us know. there are 2 -3 possibles on the 1901 Census
