Hello, Could anybody help finding a presumed death between 1816-1824. Mary Snaith (nee Barker) last known at Leake where child was born in 1816. She was born Mary Barker 1872 at Leake--married Ralph Snaith at Kirby Knowle in 1811. I have looked several parish records to no avail--would it be recorded on death index. Could have even been at Leeds.
Cheers, Al.

Hi Al, OH's gg grandmother was Ann Snaith b1841 in Stokesley daughter of John Snaith & Jane Halton. John was also b Stokesley in 1818, his parents were John Snaith & Elizabeth Burnand. According to the census John snr was b 1788c in Faceby but I haven't found him yet. Elizabeth Burnands sister Mary married a Ralph Snaith in Stokesley in 1818. I don't know if Ralph & John are related, also a Thomas Snaith was a witness at John Snrs wedding. John jnr & Ann moved to Linthorpe. I have a public tree on Ancestry if you want to have a rummage.
Do any of those sound familiar?

Hi, Again, Have come across the Snaith's from Stokesley in my research--but have not connected with any yet. You would not believe the number of Ralph Snaith's that seemed to abound in the 18th/19th century, very popular name. It is Ralph's that are puzzling me at the moment, I have a definite Ralph b Darlington 1788 married Hannah Barker at Leeds by license in 1825 have got them and children etc. all accounted for--But another Ralph or I think the same Ralph married Mary Barker in 1811. Mary was Hannah,s elder cousin and Mary sort of vanishes about 1816. Add to that Ralph was 11years older than Hannah and they all lived same area--and his trade was recorded as Carpenter at marriage to Mary and Cartwright at marriage to Hannah!!! Thank's again for your help will have look on Ancestry, Regards, Al.
