Finlayson family

I'm tracing the Finlayson family from Peebles in Scotland, Dickson Finlayson b 1829, his father was Archibald Finlayson b 1798, I think Dickson (Dixon) married twice and had numerous children.

I think his first marriage was to Christina Lockhart in 1851 and then Christina Gilchrist in 1874, can anyone confirm this as the two wifes appear to be aunt and neice?

The 1881 census shows oldest children as twins aged 8 but marriage was 1874 according to the IGI. 

Have you checked SP for a death for Christina the first?
