We went over to West Bromwich & found the grave of Walter, it is looking somewhat sad for itself, but the headstone is in good order. We noted that there was another headstone half hidden at the foot of the grave which made us think that someone else was buried there as well. The church warden was most helpful & looked up the book that contained all the info for the grave. I was happy to find that Walter was not there on his own...he is buried in a family grave belonging to his wifes family. So he is with his  in-laws, a brother in law & finally in 1955 aged 76, his wife Nancy joined him. We were shown a WW1 memorial on the wall of the church which has Walters name on it. So....your help & info was much appreciated in finding out exactly where Walter is finally resting...thank you....

Hi Margaret

So he's there, well and truly back with the family and a helpful churchwarden as well.

U'm really glad you got to the bottom of  it!  Thank you for sharing the story.

Best wishes
