Hi I am trying to see if anyone can help me trace my family back a little further on my mother's side.
My G.G.Gradfather and G.G.Grandmother were Albert Robinson b.1868 and Frances Clement b.1866.
Albert was born in Bradford, Lancashire, England and Frances was born in Lancaster.
On the 1911 Census I have found them married 19 years with children Lily b.1893, Albert b.1895, Joseph b.1899, John Henry b.1902 and Adeline b.1904.
On the 1901 Census I have found them again without John Henry and Adeline as they are yet to be born and I have also found their marriage in 1891 Oct-Dec Prestwich 8D 592.
I have been unable to find either of them on the 1891 Census Can anyone help?

I received the marriage certificate today:
Frances Clement 25 a spinster was married on the 1 November 1891 to Albert Robinson 23 a bachelor.
Alberts occupation was a stoker. Frances has none on the certificate.
I believe the addresses of the married couple are wrong as Albert's family on the 1881 Census are living at the address marked down on the marriage certificate for Frances Family - 31 Pilling Street, Newton.
The other address which I believe is Frances address is 31 (almost illegible - I will send it to someone if they want to check) looks like t.ton..afson Street.
Frances father is Edward Clement again the occupation is written down but I am unable to read it.

Hi
Are you able to post the portion of the certificate you can't read on here, ie Frances's address and Edward Clements occupation. It is not unknown for the bride and grooms residence addresses to be the same, or not the address of where the family is resident. It is often done so banns only need to be read in one parish.
I see it gives Frances's father as Edward and not Edwin as the one I have found as a baptism / census entry. I have found that these two names are sometimes 'switched' during a lifetime - I have an incidence in my own family of this happening with Edward/Edwin.

Ive been digging and it gets all very confusing as the names keep switching as you say...
1871 Census I have a Fanny Clement b.1866 living with Father Edwin Clement 29 and mother Ann 26. He is a clerk (Woollen) and they are living at 145 Collyhurst Road with Samuel Oldam a boarder.
1881 Census I can find no trace of Frances/Fanny anywhere? I have found her father again Edwin now 39 although he is now a gas light lighter, living with Ann and Alice, Annie and Edwin jnr in 15 Aigburth Street Liverpool.
1891 Census I can find no trace of Frances/Fanny anywhere? However a strong possibly is 20 Edward Street, Failsworth as added below, with Emma Platt, Edith Platt, Clara Barnes as Fanny Clemance is the right age 24 and Weaver Cotton athough born Lancaster when the 1871 census says Orton, Lancashire. However her father now Elward Clement is 49 and a Pork Butcher (exactly his occupation on the marriage certificate of Frances). Also at the address 19 Park Street, Liverpool are Annie, Alice, Annie and Edwyn. 1901 Elward becomes Edwyn a Butcher.
There are discrepencies as to where they were born, Ann from Yorkshire then Ireland, Edwin, Elward and Edywn from London then Kent.
What does everyone think? How do I post a taster?

The 1871 has Frances/Fanny being born Warton, it is her mother who is born Orton, Yorkshire
There is a marriage March qtr 1865 Lancaster reg district for Edwyn Clement and Annie Morland Stainton. Lancaster reg dist 8e 721 according to Lancashire bmd it was either Register Office or Registrar attended.
