Birth Berwick Lookup Hider.

Hi Chris
Could you please do a birth lookup for a Elizabeth Hider married to John in Burwick. On the 1851 census it has her mother Elizabeth also living with them and son Henry.

I got confused then

It appears that John Hider married Elizabeth Tobet in March quarter of 1838, Lewes district, volume 7, page 369

So we are looking for Elizabeth Tobet.

Found this one on the SFHG baptism database

Elizabeth Tobett born on 20 November 1805 and baptised on 9 February 1806 at St John the baptist sub Castro in Lewes to John and Jane Tobett

Hi Kerry,
Thankyou for that info, but I don't think she is the one I am looking for, it could be the Elizabeth the Mother in the 1851 census that I should be looking for, as she may have been Johns mother. As the Tobet name is not in our tree, but the Hider name is.

Would it be John's sister you are looking for if you want an Elizabeth Hider?

John's mother was Elizabeth Coats and she married William Hider in 1795 at Berwick, 27 October according to the SMI.

Thanks Kerry we have a Elizabeth Hider b 1750 married to William Manser, in Rotherfield Sussex. Her parents were Edward and Hannah Simmonds. Im trying to find Henry who family say migrated with later Manser orphans to Australia in 1855 on board the Oriental, and this family you have given me is the only Hiders on the passenger list. So it is a mystery, unless they were related to Elizabeth.

yes it say's she was 39 yrs old, but in the column to the right it states she was 45 yrs old in the 1851 census. John 42 from Berwick Sussex, and Henry 10yrs old.
