I would be grateful if someone could look up the birth of Laura Kenwood understood to be 1832 in Abingdon. I have also seen her Christian name as Lavinia on census records so I appreciate it may not be easy. Her father's name may be Edward.
Any information found would be much appreciated.

I have this one from the Abingdon St.Helens PRs from the OFHS; Baptised 10 Jun 1832 Laura Kenwood dau of Edward & Eliza, cabinet maker (abode) Vineyard. No other info is mentioned.
She appears to be the only Kenwood listed in these PRs. If you wish me to look further please let me know.

Alan,
Many thanks for your prompt search and reply - this sounds to be the one as cabinet workers/carpenters are mentioned in our history. Its a pity there is no maiden name for her mother - I will give that some thought.
regards
James

James,
If you haven't already seen this, there is an "extracted" marriage on the IGI of Edward Kenwood to Eliza Haigh on 26-2-1826 Old Church, St.Pancras, London.
May not be the one your looking for, but, on the other hand could be ??
They may have moved around.

Once again, many thanks. I don't think I have seen it - time to review what info I do have as I know I had problems finding them on census records.
Cheers

Alan,
I have checked back on the 1851 census - Laura was living with a Mr Haigh - I had missed she was his niece. Also her marraige certificate shows her father as a cabinet maker. I still need to track her down on some of the census records but am confident you have found the correct one.
Once again many thanks
James

James,
If you have her marriage cert. does it show her father's name and if so what is it and what is the address shown. Might be able to do more tracing with that info.
Alan
On the IGI there are a few Eliza Haigh's I'll try and attach a screenshot hope it comes out; /Desktop/Picture 1.png

Alan,
The marraige certificate shows her father as Edward - cabinet maker deceased. Her address is Friar St, St Ebbe's Oxford - I have located her on the 1851 & 1871 censuses.
