1851 Census look up please

Hi can someone please help. 

I have found Alfred BOURNE with his wife Winifred PADGHAM in the 1861 census living in Rye, Sussex.
Also have them in the 1871 with 4 children still in Rye.

I know he married Winifred PADGHAM Sept 1/4 1843 in Battle but she was born in Rye abt 1818.  Are these places close???  I am in Suffolk.

I cannot find them in the 1851 census at all.  All 4 children were born Rye between 1843 - 1850 so far.

Any luck anyone?Huh

just for the record, in 1861, they were in Acrise (Elham District)

They are fairly close. Battle is in land from Hastings ( it's where the Battle of Hastings took place 1066 and all that!) Rye is on the coast about 15 miles away.
