Hi Mr Campbell
My grandfather Charles Hamilton lived in meenavenaghan, he died in 1948 he was married to Mary Duffy from the neighbouring townland of Magheralahan.I wonder if there is any connection to your ancestors.

I dont know if you've already tried the civil records  - but an index is available at this link :  http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#c=1408347;p=2;t=searchable

If you find possible details you can order full BMD certs from the GRO - see : http://www.groireland.ie/apply_for_a_cert.htm

Dastra / Danny

Read your post on 4th November, my grandfather was William Hamilton married to a Molly Stewart in Ballyarnot,  i know he only had one brother called Daniel Hamilton at some stage he moved to Scotland in the 1970-80s as this is confirmed by my mother Violet.  I also know that he is deceased and buired in drug.   Would that mean that you and my mother are cousins?Huh??

Hello Alfy,
This indeed means that your mother Violet and I are cousins. What  a shot in the dark that was when I replied to your post. I have not seen your mother for about 42 years tell her I said Hello. I lived in her house for a while in 1966 at Dunvern Gardens Eglinton.  l lost  touch with the family when I moved to Glasgow 1n 1967. Daniel Hamilton is dead now and buried in Drung as you mum says. Gerry and Freddie and Mary, Pamela, Judith are other members of the family. Absolutely wonderful to hear from you especially in such a chance way. I look forward to your reply.    Yours Danny Kearney.
