Eleanor Hayes b.6/01/1918 Sunderland was brought up in a village near Ilkley and in her youth had a job in Ilkley unfortunately the name of the village escapes me at the moment. Eleanor never knew her father as he was killed in the somme. Her mother was an Ann Hayes also born Sunderland or Middlesborough.
I don't know why they moved to Ilkley area possibly a family connection.

I tried to post earlier but it wouldn't let me, just to confirm birth.
Eleanor Hayes 1918 Jan 1/4 Sunderland Durham mothers maiden name Hubbard.
Is that correct
I tried to find a marriage for Eleanor but not succeeded yet but found a possible marriage for her parents

now i remember, it was Addingham but thats all i was told.
I do know that it was she grew up there not long after her birth. they eventually moved to Hull when she was in her teens.
