Yes I am on Facebook Nikolai.
My Gt Grandmother's maiden name was Simic.
I guess I will have to do some searching on there now.
Thank you for your helpful hints.
Cheers Ev.

I saw your profile on facebook nick ..... and I went all shy  Tongue

Anyway back to the mausoleums.
Went to a great family get together yesterday, which wasn't a funeral or a wedding YAY!
Before going to this my daughter and I went to check out the mausoleum suburb of Waikumete.
They weren't hard to find and we were just awe struck!
The road they were on was like Queen Street, endless cars coming and going, to and from somewhere?
We walked the whole street, trying to work out how these things worked.
Some of the crypts had names and some didn't.
Some had doors with locks ..... some didn't?
Most of the names were Dallie sounding and the majority ended in ich or ic.
We came upon one that is nearly finished being built, which was the size of a small house ....
NORCROSS was the proud name inscribed across the top.  I had to take pics.. as it had an atrium and two separate resting places..... I'm having trouble loading pics - so will load one and carry on

Our family are still none the wiser as to who rests in the Lovich crypt.
Yes we would all like to know, as we are all drawn to this place!
I have one more lead to follow up -
one of my Grandfather's cousins children that Natalie has given me the contact for.

Thanks Janette - Joseph Douglas Lovich does have a burial plot and a row number, it's just not showing yet.
But thanks to you I guess - I contacted a person from his Lovich family that we have never been able to find a connection to.  For the first time she mentioned one document she had with the same Croatian name as our family.  While talking to her, I casually searched that name on Geni.com and found all of our ancestor names and hers there too under Anticic Lovic!! I messaged the tree owner who then sent me photos of birth entries in ancient books that she has access to.  She then merged our trees on Geni and now we have all of our Croatian family history that is on record !!!!!  I could immediately find the connection that we had been looking for re Joseph Douglas Lovich's family..... our Gt Gt Grandfather's were brothers! The miracle of modern technology .... I've been doing some dancing with the ancestors these past few days  Grin

Still don't know who belongs to the mausoleum though.... but it has led us to what we have now!

Do you have copy of this that you can email to me cheers
