Hi Ricky
Thanks for your message. What I' particularly interested in is Frederick Oldring , son of John and Mary Oldring, who was born in 1854 and baptised in Ilketshall St Andrew in, I think, February 1854.
Many thanks

How about this then, fresh off the press:
The Ipswich Journal Saturday, November 3, 1866
BUNGAY Thursday November 1-before Richard J J Bedingfield Esq., Rev. J. C. Safford and Richard D. French, Esq., Assault-Edward Stebbings, of Ilketshall St. Andrews, labourer, was charged with having on the 21st ult., at St. Andrews, assaulted Frederick Oldring, of the same parish. It appeared, on evidence, that the complainant, a youth of about 14 years of age, had been left at home by his father on the 21st Ult., to watch the orchard, whilst he, the father, went to Church, that the defendant was seen by him to throw a stone at a walnut tree, and was afterwards seen in the orchard. The complainant expostulated with him when the defendant committed the assault complained of. The Bench convicted the defendant, and he was adjudged to pay a fine of 2s 6d, and 7s 6d., costs, which he paid and was discharged.
Not sure what expostulated means, sounds nasty!!
Would you be interested in a Samuel Oldring, who seemed to own a lot of land and property, his wife Hannah died on 29th April, 1872. Details to follow if you do.
Tom
