So that's what DFHS means.  Now that winter's approaching I love living where I do, in Dallas Texas.  Come summer though when I'm panting from the blazing heat I would trade with lots of people!!

Ken (KLM) ... I have never been in the UK .. and I am thinking you have likely never been in Canada .. but maybe a swap would be interesting .. only the last Stephenson reative to me was possibly Henry .. who died at Branton in 1882 .. possibly the area has changed a little since then Smiley.
So I am just saying Doncaster is likely a little different since my Stephensons were coachmakers there, back late 1700's - early 1800's ... my William that came to Canada was born Doncaster .. but lived in Hull area, before coming Canada in 1854 ,, I have thought of coming to see that area .. only I notice both places almost never make the tourist books ... Doncaster might get a quick mention for the race track .. and Hull for that long bridge .. and then they spend all their print on the Yorkshire Dales or the Peak district ... or Hull might be mentioned as a pass through, as one is heading to Beverley. Don't take me too serious.

William Stephenson - born 1814 at Doncaster West Yorkshire - married Mary Scott at Cottingham East Yorkshire (Hull) in 1838. Williams parents I believe were another Wm Stephenson and an Alice Carter - married Cantley Parish W Yorks (Doncaster) in 1811..... Other east riding names are Nicholls (Bridlington, Yorks and Wigan Lancs.) and the surname Withernwick.

Ken, what incredible work, I'm so impressed.  It hurts me to say that I cannot tie even one of these names to my lineage but I'm certainly going to keep this list because you never know.  Thank you.

Daisy, that was indeed the right death date for Dorothy Walker Fox.  She died 26 Jan 1853 in Doncaster.  The certificate showed her late husband was John and her daughter registered the death.

I don't know how you found that entry but thank you very much for passing it on to me.  I shall mark this thread as completed.
