Singer family in Indiana

Robert Singer born Ireland 1852 and wife thomasina (nee Baker) born South Shields  and their children ( James b 1877, Thomas b 1880 and Ellenor Jane b 1882) left Ashington, Northumberland and went to the USA. He was a miner.

Mary Ann Singer was born in 1885 in Clay County, Indiana. Trying to find details of the birth of her sister Elizabeth in 1888.

Not yet found details of their immigration to the USA between 1882 and 1885 and their return by 1893.

any info much appreciated.

So the Thomas on the other posting was Robert's son.

You are wonderful! I looked for this info several years ago and gave up. The fact that they sailed back from PEnn gives me another area to look for my grandmothers birth.

It looks from the info you found that the mother came back with her son Thomas and 3 other children born in the USA - Mary Ann, elizabeth and Robert.
The father robert (who never aged!) came back with his son James who should have been about 12 or 13.

Thank you so so much.

Now I just have to track them down in the 1890 census in the US.
