Hello
I have one Edward Pentecost born 25 Dec 1800, Peckham, Surrey, and no parents.
Would anyone have details of any baptisms or birth for this man?
He married 1830 to Sarah Amery in Christchurch, Southwark.

The Camberwell baptism parish registers are not indexed by the IGI. They are deposited at the London Metropolitan Archives. The then hamlet of Peckham was part of Camberwell.

These were the only two Pentecost families in Camberwell in 1841 and both were milkmen.
William Pentecost born in East Grinstead Sussex (though he gives Surrey on the 1841 census - the born in or out of the county question on the 1841 census can be answered very unreliably) had other siblings baptised in East Grinstead

Thank you so much. Will have to spend a bit of time sorting them out.
There were two Pentecost families that came to New Zealand and I wonder if this is the same William Thomas Pentecost which has shown on many records and paper articles here?
It has been a question between two of us how William and Thomas were related, so many thanks for finding all this information.

Richard Pentecost b. 3 Jul 1839, Brixton Surrey is my g.grandfather. His son William Edward Pentecost, my grandfather born Rangiora NZ.
I live in NZ and would love to share info.
I have a little info on Sarah and Robert Watkins arrived NZ "Indiana" 20 Nov 1858.
