Hi Everyone,
                 I'm hoping someone can confirm a marriage for me please.

I have a Thomas Hawley b:1835 Walsall, occ:Leather Worker married to Clara Walker b:1845 Walsall and they got married in 1862 Fenton, Stafford.

I've had a contact get intouch who says it's Clara Sanson Huh but i can't find no marriage, so i'm hoping someone can help.

have either yourself or the other person actually got a marriage cert to prove Clara Walker or Sansom?

If not, then it looks as if it is about time someone got one, before either or both of you go off on wild goose chases!

Yes - a birth cert for one of their children will give Clara's maiden name

Thomas and Clara are on 1871 census at RG10 2960 28 3, with 4 children

              I came across that marriage and it made me think did she just call herself clara instead of her proper name Sarah, Which they did alot of on the census's.

Looks like Clara Sansom is the most likely

(1862 was a bit early, Clara even if she was married as Sarah for some unknown reason, would have been very young)

But a birth cert for one of the many offspring will confirm if you are unsure

      I will get a birth certificate because this could throw us out, my family married the Hawley's but my contact who got intouch said it was her grandmother who said it was definitly Sanson.
