Mary Ann Morton and Caroline Morton are not my relatives - but married my relatives. I like to keep my files neat and tidy by giving everyone parents. Often I find they have married relatives and friends of the family.

Cheesy    Well, yes  .... but it doesn't exactly answer the question as to who the parents of Louisa Caroline MORTON, were.   Huh

And is the "Caroline MORTON" you now mention, the same person as "Louisa Caroline MORTON".    Huh

I think we have two Morton families living in Hawkes Bay.

I've been doing some digging and found a Morton family living at Ashley Clinton, where Mrs Louisa Morton was the postmistress. If anyone is interested they could look in the cemetery site previously mentioned.

I would appreciate any information you have on the family of Henry Luttrel Morton. His son William Bowden Morton was my great grandfather and and William's daughter Elizabeth Emily Morton was my grandmother on my father's side.

Hi Rhubarbara

  ... welcome to RootsChat.    Smiley

You need to have made 3 postings before you can access the PM system ... so if you just make another one on this thread,  you'll then be able to contact Peter.

To send a PM, simply click on the "plmorton" user name (or the green scroll under it)  ... this brings up a new screen, which includes the option "to send a personal message".
Good luck.

Hi Peter, I have a Henry Luttrel Morton, born 19 Apr 1878 who married my greataunt Mary Josephine Shine on the 13 Aug 1908 at Auckland. They both died in Strathfield, New South Wales. Would be interested in any of their children etc. I think Henry was the son of W#illiam Bowden Morton and Catherine Hill. Cheers..Alan
