I think we have two Morton families living in Hawkes Bay.
I've been doing some digging and found a Morton family living at Ashley Clinton, where Mrs Louisa Morton was the postmistress. If anyone is interested they could look in the cemetery site previously mentioned.

1. Charles MORTON (d.19 Aug 1911, Waipukurau) and his wife Louisa (d.27 Jan 1919, Ashley Clinton, Hawke's Bay)
These are just children I located - there could be others. 2. Louisa Caroline MORTON (b.1 Jul 1869, Napier; d.8 Feb 1942, Danniverke) sp: Osborne George PINE (b.1862; m.24 Dec 1887(Div); d.16 Feb 1944- Sandringham, Auckland) sp: William James VICKERS (m.1920) 2. Fanny MORTON (b.6 Jan 1872, Waipukurau) 2. Catherine MORTON (b.15 Nov 1879, Ashley Clinton, Hawke's Bay) 2. John MORTON (d.1 Dec 1886, Waipukurau) 2. Elizabeth MORTON sp: David HOWSE (m.21 Mar 1898) 2. Susan MORTON sp: John REIDY (m.9 Feb 1903)

Hi Vera

I would appreciate any information you have on the family of Henry Luttrel Morton. His son William Bowden Morton was my great grandfather and and William's daughter Elizabeth Emily Morton was my grandmother on my father's side.

Hi Rhubarbara
... welcome to RootsChat.
You need to have made 3 postings before you can access the PM system ... so if you just make another one on this thread, you'll then be able to contact Peter.
To send a PM, simply click on the "plmorton" user name (or the green scroll under it) ... this brings up a new screen, which includes the option "to send a personal message". Good luck.

Hi Peter, I have a Henry Luttrel Morton, born 19 Apr 1878 who married my greataunt Mary Josephine Shine on the 13 Aug 1908 at Auckland. They both died in Strathfield, New South Wales. Would be interested in any of their children etc. I think Henry was the son of W#illiam Bowden Morton and Catherine Hill. Cheers..Alan
