Hi. Can anyone help. I am trying to search for my Irish Ancestors who came from Waterford Ireland.

My Great Grandfather was Thomas Reilly (or could be O'Reilly, O'Rielly or Rielly). He was born on the 26/09/1910 in Waterford. The family then moved to Wales where Thomas met his Wife Irene Grant who was from Aberkenfig.

Thomas's parents were John O'Rielly and Mary Ann Lowergan again from Waterford. John was born on 26/01/1880 in Waterford and he was a solider and a General Labourer. Mary Ann Lowergan was born in 1890c in Waterford and died 1925 after giving birth.

John's parents were Thomas O'Rielly and Mary Ann Connors. Thomas was born around 1820 in Waterford. He was made a Free-man around 1846. Mary ann Connors was born in 1851 in Waterford.

Can anyone tell me where I can find Freeman records. Does anyone know what qualifies someone to become a Freeman. Can anyone advice me where I can find more information on the family. I live in Wales so access to the Irish Records is difficult.
