I am wondering if anyone could help me in regard to a Florence Jane Ambrose who was born 1878 Manchester, England with regard to the possible migration to BC, date unknown, she could possibly have married someone by the name of Drinkwater, but not totally sure.
I have no other information in regard to her family, only that she had a younger sister who migrated to Canada around 1917. Her name was Evelyn Ambrose and she settled around White Rock BC
We are thinking that she maybe migrated after her sister settled in Canada

So we can narrow down when she left the UK here's the family in 1891.
At same address as 1881.FIrst wife Jane must have died.
John H Ambrose head 43 confectioner
Sarah J wife 26
George F son 19 confectioner
Florence dau 13
Charles son 10
Evelyn dau 9 mths
So Evelyn would be Florence's half sister by the looks of it.

Thanks for that Mick- that pretty much confirms the family I've foudn here in 1911.Although it is pay per view to see the transcript,I've managed to work out the family set up..I think

Thank you so much for these, really appreciate that. I wonder if you could assist me with Florence's siblings Evelyn and Ernest, who also migrated to Canada.
Evelyn was married at Sapperton in BC, to Orlando Franklin Wilkinson 1/3/1919.
Orlando died 10/6/1949 at Burnaby, and Evelyn died 7/12/1973 Essondale BC
Brother Ernest was married in England to Maud Barlow. Ernest died 6/2/1983 and Maud 19/12/1983, buried at Surrey BC. They had son Ernest (whom we think died early) and daughter Lily (Evelyn) not totally sure on correct names there.
We have searched for years to know what happened to this side of our family, it is so fantastic to have access to documentation these days.
