Sophia WRIGHT Wymondham

Could anyone help with the birth/baptism record of Sophia WRIGHT born in Wymondham in about 1774? She married Samuel SMITH Diss on 6 Nov. 1803. Samuel was a chaffcutter. They moved to Essex a year or so after their marriage.

Any information about the WRIGHT and SMITH families of this part of Norfolk would be appreciated. I wondered if they moved from Norfolk because of the riots when people were destroying machinery (what did they call that? I've forgotten).

It looks as though this line of my family originated in Norfolk, but I haven't been able to find out about Sophia and Samuel's parents, or siblings etc.

FreeReg has this baptism for a Sophia:

Church: Virgin Mary and St Thomas a Becket, Wymondham
Baptism Date: 12 Oct 1776
Father: Edward  Mother: Sophia

ps Sophia's siblings are also on Free Reg but checking one or two of them there is a difference in fathers name Edmund/Edward, mother still Sophia

Thank you, Jan. I'll follow that up. I suppose there could have been a mistake over the father's name. Edmund and Edward are so similar. If she is the only Sophia WRIGHT born around that time in Wymondham, it would be a strong possibility that this is the right one.
