*Moderator comment: name removed.  1944 is well within RootsChat guide date of 100 years for births etc.  This person may still be alive or recently deceased.  Please do not post names for dates within 100 years of birth.  Thanks

It looks like West Hartlepool to me!

http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/west%20hartlepool.html

It went:

Stockton to 1859
Hartlepool - 1859 to 1938
West hartlepool 1938 - 1967

What quarter?  Have you checked 1943/45 as well?

Have PMed you because it's a very recent birth and we're not supposed to mention names of possible living people on the public boards.

As I said - you're not supposed to mention names of people who are possibly alive on the public boards.

I've checked the full GRO index and the one you mention is the only one that is coming up in the area.

It could be that there was a name change after registration. It did happen.

The only other one that might be considered is Durham North, Sept. q but without a second name.

There are no registrations for any births with those two names for the whole of 1944 anywhere in Eng & Wales on the GRO index.

I don't think it would be Durham North and the only possible is the one in West Hartlepool that you've mentioned.

As I said, it could be that his name was changed after registration or his second initial was mistranscribed at some stage. The GRO index was compiled from local office listings and mistakes could happen.
