EXCELLENT!
I just found some of mine there, but there does seem to be a gap in the Cremation records at Hollinwood or maybe they dont go back as far as I need, cos i cant find one of mine I know should be there.

Hi Gaille

This is another great resource - but it does have one major drawback.

Manchester Burials sent all the registers to India to be transcribed, so that the Bacas database is near %100 complete "odd few pages missing/damaged"

Oldham Burials did not out source their registers for transcription so only new burials and reopened grave data is online, but saying that when a grave is reopened the staff have to recheck the burial registers and include that info into the Bacas database. My understanding if and when they have time the old stuff will go online. It is also giving some incorrect data so double check any info you get, ie date of death after burial date.

Rochdale Burials they indicate the Bacas Database will be online in a few weeks, on the same lines as Oldham.

Yeah I had noticed a few discrepencies, for instance my God-father is on the database he died 3 years ago, but his wife who died in 2000 isnt there, also my gt-grandfather was cremated at Hollinwood in 1961 isnt there, and I have seen his name in the book of rememberance and the register at Hollinwood, so I know he should be there.
