Marraige of William Pickard and Mary Farquhar

Hi Folks,

I wonder if anyone can help me with this. I have been doing my family research for a while now on the Pickards. I have been lucky enough to find out a lot, but there is a brick wall i have come across (is'nt there always one).

My 4x grandfather was William Pickard, i think from Sileby Leicstershire. He married Mary Farquhar b. 1762 in Strichen. I know they had 1 daughter Mary and 2 sons James and William all born in Sileby. Birth dates are 1792 1802 1805.

I can't for the life of me find any marraige or death info on William and Mary.
I know the two sons (James and William) came back up to Longside and married locally (don't know about the daughter). I have searched the Sileby and Aberdeenshire records for any marraige or death information.

Can anyone help please.

You probably know this - a possible for the son William is shown on the 1841 census in Longside Village - with his own family:-

    PICKARD   Jas    M   6                       Aberdeenshire       
    PICKARD   Cath  F   4                       Aberdeenshire       
    PICKARD   Robt  M   2                      Aberdeenshire 

No sign of the parents so far though.

Yes i have that info that you gave me. Its Williams father and mother that i am having problems with.
