1881 & 1891 Gloucestershire - Robbins - COMPLETED
« on: Friday 28 August 09 16:21 UTC (UK) »

Hi

I'm looking for any information on Frank Robbins, born in Cirencester, Gloucestershire in 1871 +/- 1 year.  His parents were James Robbins b c1825 and Elizabeth b c1828.  I'd like to know where Frank was living in 1881 and 1891, who he was living with and whether by 1891 he had an occupation.

Thank you for any help.

Thank you for these two very quick replies!

I have to doubt the IGI report a little, as it says James and Elizabeth married about 1863.  Yet, by that time they already have 2 children born 1857 and 1860.  Not impossible, I know, but I feel it's unlikely.

Rosie, does it say what his occupation is in 1891?  Thanks.

I have to doubt the IGI report a little, as it says James and Elizabeth married about 1863.

Is it a member-submitted file?

James and Elizabeth are shown as married on the 1861 census, oldest child James age 5.

Hi Tati

It says 'No source information is available.'

I'm more confused now, too, as I wasn't aware they had a son called James.  However, I only have information back to 1871, so maybe James had already left home?

The children of James and Elizabeth that I have in 1871 are;
Alfred b1857
George b1860
William b1864
Ernest b1867
Frank 1871

Are Alfred and George on the 1861 census?

Hi Jaqy
It does not give any occupation for him in 1891
