.MDB CD ~ Can't open

Hi everyone

I wonder if you can tell me what programme will open a CD that is a .MDB (which I think means Microsoft Data Base).

It is Shropshire Marriage Index on CD.  I have emailed the recommended person but he has not answered, probably out enjoying himself and I don't blame him.

You need Microsoft Access ..... althoo this may help ?

Thank you for your reply ~ I have clicked onto the link but when I came to download my computer didn't want to run it and, as I really am not sure what I am doing, I chickened out.

Can you please assure me that it is safe to download and I will overule the computer.

Havent tried it - but if you have a half-decent AV program, I cant see a problem ?

OK, I just downloaded the non-ZIP,  .exe file - no problems, my AVG scanned it on the way down OK.

I wouldnt worry too much about the lack of a 'Certificate' ..... may sites are remiss in that respect.
